This shoot had us running from the cops, haha =) The first time was when we were on the railroad tracks and their mom noticed a cop stopped on the tracks at the next intersection. We all grabbed a piece of the drum set and made a run for it. We were pulling out with everyone buckled and the drum set in the back of the truck before the officer even got there…that was a close one!

The second time was when we were in the alley that I always shoot in and we had just been there a minute or two and some guy starts yelling out the window ‘Quit playing the drums or I’m calling the cops!’ Now I am always willing to bend, but when someone yells at me without even showing their face or especially without asking nicely first then I usually end up acting like I haven’t heard them – just ask the mean old lady who told me I had to ’shut that baby up’ at the grocery store when I had a 2 year old and a crying colicy baby in my cart just trying to get some groceries….I’d like to think after I followed her down every single isle she went down the entire time she was in the store and then stood behind her in line, that she never yelled at any other sleep deprived mom just trying to get through the day =) So anyway, we stayed in the alley and got some fun shots and guess what? The cops never came =)

Thanks gals! It was an adventure!!!
MSP will now be offering moonlight beach backdrops……kidding! My husband and I went on a cruise to Mexico to celebrate our 14 year anniversary and they had the cheesiest photography on the cruise:

Here are some pictures from our day in Ensenada. We rented a moped and traveled 50 miles and found some awesome places:

This is what I looked like after I realized I was not being attacked by a spider:

I love these two! They are so fun! And they make my job so easy!

I love the way Vern looks at James:

After the train tracks we went to Old Town Orange. First stop – Watsons for an early morning shake, haha:

So silly:

Danielle and Ryan’s wedding was so fun to photograph – Danielle has such a fun attitude and amazing style. Here are some of them getting ready:

Danielle bought some plain heels from David’s Bridal and then blinged them up herself:

I love this one of Ryan reading the instructions on how to tie a bow tie:

waiting for the big moment:

married!

Check out the back of Danielle’s dress:

There were so many fun details:

While we were out doing portraits they had this fun area set up for the guests to take silly pictures:

Then the first dance:

Thanks guys! I had so much fun! Have a great honeymoon!
My beautiful friend Salley asked me to take some headshots of her. I just hope she doesn’t forget me when she becomes famous, haha =)

This little 2 week old cutie could not keep his eyes away from my camera =)

The principal at my girl’s school asked me to take some portraits of the kids so they could have some fun pictures to hang in the school office. The kids were big hams and I had so much fun hanging out with them. Here are just a few of my favorites:

My 9 year old has been begging me for ‘rock n roll’ portraits for the longest time…….so we finally got to get out by ourselves the other day and had a fun little shoot around our neighborhood.

My daughters rarely go on shoots with me because I want to be able to focus completely on my clients, but if they are friends with the kids I have a session with, I sometimes let them tag along. Sometimes it’s good because they can get smiles like this:

and they can help the little ones out:

but sometimes they can be down right sneaky….I didn’t even notice her in this shot till after I had taken a few:

I met this cute couple at their home for some intimate maternity portraits and then they took me to this awesome park that I will definitely be returning to:

I love this moment:

but I couldn’t decide between color and b&w:

I’ve been wanting to do a shoot in Venice for a while and my friend Kelley lives there so I met her and her family there and we wandered around and saw some interesting things:

Her little guy is about to turn one and he made the cutest faces. He was so expressive:

I think was just annoyed with me in this one, haha

We found this red radio flyer trike that was chained to a pole – so fun =)

Diaper check:

Gotta check the tires:

thanks for showing me around guys!
I have been wanting to do a portrait session in Old Town Tustin for as long as I can remember. I’m so glad this cute family was up for it =)

Danielle is getting married in a couple weeks and I cannot wait for her wedding because she has such a fun style and she is up for trying new things. She is violinist and wanted some portraits for a new website she is making. We went to the circle and had so much fun looking for new places.

I feel like I have this dirty little secret, but it’s certainly not a secret and it’s definitely not dirty. I have been doing boudoir sessions and making these amazing custom 8×8 leather cover books……

I haven’t been able to post any of the pictures from these super fun boudoir sessions I’ve done because this is the internet and even though the portraits are tastefully done, they still are private. So I thought I would take pictures of the book and the owner of this book gave me permission to post this on my blog. And I’m so glad she did because now I can get the word out about this! This is one of the few gifts you can give your husband that no one else can, a gift that he will be so unbelievably excited about and something that the two of you will treasure for years to come – think when you’re 85 how fun it will be to say ‘look how good I used to look’ haha =) These books make a perfect gift for your anniversary, his birthday, Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas, Boxing Day Canada, you name it!

And now for the fun part: the sessions. Because I want to make this a fun session and not something to stress over, I decided to only offer boudior sessions in the form of a party. Believe me, you will want your girlfriends there supporting you. I know from experience (I had to experiment with this idea first!) that this will be one of the most bonding and fun days you can spend with your friends =) These parties are perfect for a bachelorette party, a birthday party, or just a fun girl’s day. The host of the party will automaticly get $100 off her session fee/book price. If she has 6 or more guests she gets her session and her book for free! Who could pass that up?!?
Getting ready……

Love the shoes…..

Even the flower girl had cute red shoes….

Isn’t Siera gorgeous?

Here’s Travis with his guys kickin’ it before the ceremony (why aren’t the guys ever stressed?)

Congratulations guys! Have an awesome honeymoon!
This little one’s mom had so many cute costumes for her 6 month session -

And she even had a matching head band for my petiskirt =)

Today I met with this cute family in downtown Fullerton for some urban portraits. I have never had a session there before, so it was so fun taking a tour of Fullerton trying to find fun spots.

Then the boys got to wear their storm trooper masks because they were such good models =)

This very thoughtful daughter gave her parents the best Christmas gift ever – a MSP gift certificate – kidding! We met at Irvine Park and I had so much fun with this silly family!

My daughter has been begging me to take pictures of her in the skirt since I bought it a year ago…I’m glad I finally did

My friend Jamie asked me to take some more images of her jewelry for her website. She keeps coming up with new stuff – I love this new necklace! Right now I have a solid disc with the girl’s initials on it, but I am definatly going to order one of these so I can have all three of their names on it – Or maybe someone will order one for me for Mother’s Day *hint, hint*. Check out her website to see all of her great stuff. Here is a link.

This little guy is the new kid on my block, well, actually the next block over. His mommy and I met at a gymnastics class for our daughters a few years ago and discovered we lived right around the corner from eachother.

Congratulations – he is a doll!

I’ve known this little cutie since she was teeny tiny! Here is a sneak peek for her mommy
I absolutely love canvas wraps. They are original works of art. Canvas is stretched and wrapped around a custom wood frame. And they come ready to hang. Who wouldn’t like that? This is the one I hung in the playroom:

And the one below is the one I hung in our family room. Both the wraps I have are 30×40. The canvas wraps I offer are 100% custom. I can get you any size your heart desires. I have a few sizes with prices on my website under ‘products’ but this is just to give you an idea of the prices. Let me know if you are interested in a different size and I can give you a quote.

And if anyone wants to know, this is where the magic happens:

I met this adorable family in the circle and they brought their cute little vintage car

This little Miss was slow to warm up to me – I love this face:

But she finally did warm up and we got some great images:

Thank guys! I had so much fun with you this morning!

A friend of mine works for Sunrise Assisted Living and asked me to come and take some pictures for marketing purposes. This was the nicest assisted living home I have ever been in. It was very clean and well kept and everyone there was so friendly. They even had live entertainment while I was there. There was a cute little old lady dancing in her walker – so cute!

A friend of mine is a graphic designer and she asked me to photograph some of her work for her website. Please contact me for a quote if you are innterested in marketing photography.

Here is a sneak peek for the parents of this adorable newborn. I love the one of her feet – normally I prefer b&w for shots like this but the color one just speaks to me.

This family reminds me why I love my job so much! They were so fun, it didn’t feel like I was working at all!

I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I said the word ‘treat’ on Saturday morning…..Emma always perks up her ears when she hears the word treat, and her owner wanted her ears up for her pictures…too funny.
